"I have to write this because a good sister, friend and colleague has been dealing with this issue for some time now. One day after Christmas my friend was in an accident. She was at fault and is a State Farm customer… You know the slogan “State Farm is there” well where are they. I needed to let people know that State Farm has not been there. First she has had to make call after call to the adjusters, customer service, and the insurance office. The insurance office says they can’t do anything to assist her. My friend took her older model car to someone she trust and State Farm sent him the parts . Every part they send is from a Salvaged yard is broken or damaged. Get it Salvaged…damaged which is delaying the vehicle being fixed. Meanwhile the time has run out on her rental rather than fix the problem they call her and tell her we will not pay for your rental. Let’s keep in mind this is the only call she has received from them. She has had to call them for everything. They will not return calls and they never once called to ask how she was doing. To this day there is no resolution to this issue. Yes they get her number but has yet to say we will not send crappy parts to repair your car and since this is our fault we will make sure the issue is resolved. Buyer beware when it comes to insurance companies State Farm is not a good neighbor."
"Hi Monique, I am so sorry to hear of the frustration your friend is experiencing. Having an accident is never convenient. We strive to help all customers through the process, however, we are limited to the policy provisions and coverages customers choose. Older vehicles create an even more difficult situation as vehicle manufacturers do not continue to make parts for vehicles after they change body styles, etc. Our Claims Department researches part availability based on the year, make, model of the vehicle via a national data base and has no control over availability or quality of what is available. Our best recommendation is to encourage your friend continue to communicate and document all correspondence with all parties involved and gain a further understanding of the coverages she selected on her policy. If she has further questions or concerns, please have her reach out to her insurance agent office and she can always request to speak with a Claims Supervisor if she is not getting the response needed from the Claims team. "

"State Farm has been a joy to work with! I had originally tried to go with Allstate, what a terrible experience! I was almost charged a higher rate of insurance that my mortgage company would supply. I called them three times, even calling them was hard. Each time they told me everything was corrected. With State Farm, they handled everything perfectly! Everyone I spoke with was considerate and thorough. My insurance was better too!"

"How this office has a 5 star review has me baffled. My sister was hit from behind. Not her fault, and her car was totaled. The other driver also has State Farm. She has had to do all of the leg work for her claim. Making calls, getting estimates on her car, straightening out the mix ups caused by the wrong claim number being on her papers. Why does she even have an agent? For the prices they charge, she should have never had to pick up the phone. Her vehicle was totaled on the 27th of July and she is still having to deal with paperwork trying to get this claim closed. I am hoping she will take the advice of her family and friends and find another insurance company."
